Scholarships for Black American Students in Tech
Kuinua Tech noticed a need in their community for students and technology during the Covid-19 pandemic. Many students were left without access to technology in order to continue their education. Kuinua ensured that students in their community would have access to technology by donating several laptops pre programmed with the necessary capabilities in order to study from home during an online giveaway.
Kuinua continues its philanthropy and support of upcoming generations through technology scholarships aimed at African American students at the owner's previous college of College of Southern Maryland.
THE PARAMETERS
To be eligible for consideration for the Kuinua Together Annual Scholarship at through Kuinua directly the student(s) must:
• Minimum GPA requirement: 3.2 GPA
• Black American/African American Ethnicity
• Current graduating High School senior or current college student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or Cybersecurity
• Available to students in either Associate or Bachelor’s Programs
To be eligible for consideration for the Kuinua Together Annual Scholarship at CSM the student(s) must:

• Possess and maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average;
• Be pursuing an associate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity and Information Technology
• Black American/African American Ethnicity
THE RESULTS
The Kuinua Together scholarships mission is to inspire and support the upcoming generation in the technology field. We hope to grant opportunities to Black and African American descendants in the world of tech.
